Payment Options

At Indigo Possibilities, I aim to make therapy as seamless and focused on your growth as possible.

Payment is due at the time of your session. I accept cash, check and all major credit cards. If you ever need to discuss sliding scale options, I am happy to work with you to make counseling accessible.

Paying at the time of your session allows us to dedicate our time together fully to your healing and personal exploration, without distractions or administrative concerns.

Insurance & Reimbursement

I want to take a moment to explain why I don’t accept insurance. Choosing to work outside of insurance allows me to prioritize your growth, healing, and privacy above all else. When counseling is billed to insurance, a diagnosis is required—even if what brings you to therapy is grief, relationship challenges, or stress. These diagnoses become a permanent part of your health record and can have unintended consequences for your future, such as affecting job applications, security clearances, or coverage options.

Insurance also limits your privacy. Your records can be reviewed by claims specialists, and the content of your sessions may be more exposed than you might expect. Beyond that, the therapy experience itself can be dictated by the insurance company: session numbers, treatment plans, and progress often need to fit their requirements rather than your individual needs.

Working outside of insurance also allows me to be fully present with you, rather than juggling the demands of seeing multiple clients to cover low reimbursement rates. It lets me focus on offering care that is explorative, creative, and tailored specifically to you, without compromise.

I understand that therapy is an investment in time, energy and money. I strive to make it as accessible as possible and would love to talk to you more about that together. My goal is to provide a safe, uninterrupted, and holistic space where you can feel fully seen, heard, and supported so even when there is a change in availability to pay for sessions this is a conversation I would like to have.
